I was a colleague of Terry at Suncorp. He bought a lot of rigour to the practice of Architecture. You knew that when he reviewed your Conceptual Solution Document that he would find inconsistencies or gaps and that you would need to demonstrate that you can defend your solution. All done in a collegiate respectful manner, where it was clear that the purpose was to ensure the best solution. The sort of arguments Architects love to have.
I and many others learnt a lot from Terry.
He was also a bit of a tinkerer. He was the go to person for bleeding edge, barely consumer ready gadgets such as home WIFI and Digital TV Recorders.
